A Surprising Return

Ladies and Gentlemen, the rebirth of MattandCory has occurred today as our YouTube page was miraculously relaunched without warning. Almost a year after its termination, the last thing we all expected was to have MattandCory returned to us; but we take what we are given and we are ecstatic to have the legendary channel returned to us.

But what happens now? MattandCory are now free to take control of the ship that was lost so long ago, free to continue making videos that are MattandCory exclusive. Will this happen? The forseeable future is not known, but all sings are pointing to 'No'. Along with the termination of the MattandCory channel came the creation of TheTriangleChannel, a media phenomenon that exceeded everything that MattandCory ever was and is something that we all now hold dear to our hearts. And shortly after that, theDoeckers was formed and it is also cherished by the former MattandCory frontmen.

Although their former pride and glory has been restored, the duo can not easily be abandon these channels. So much has happened in a year that MattandCory can't just return everything to the way it was. This may be depressing to those MattandCory elitist who have been waiting for this day since the channel's original death (especially Reubnick who tried harder than anyone to get the channel back) but there isn't much that can be done.

All I can say is to stay tuned and watch this all unfold. You will be informed if anything new happens.

And also, thank all of you for sticking with us and we hope that you follow us further with TheTraignelchannel and TheDodeckers.

Times are changing. Lives are moving on. The wheels are turning and no one knows what's around the next corner. All the same rules apply to MattandCory that apply to every other everything ever.

MattandCory has reached a point where simply making videos can't satisfy our internal hunger for completion. All of earth's creatures struggle to become complete. For some, it's easier than for others. But in the end, it usually takes some sort of change for the final pieces to fall into place.

I am writing this on Black Friday, so let's look at that as an example. What was once an entire month celebrating the trials and tribulations of our African American brothers and sisters has been reduced to nothing more than a mere 24 hours. 24 hours that immediately follow a major national holiday. If we are suppose to be able to take such an event seriously, it should be far separate from any other occasion and spread out over at least a month. It seems only fair in my opinion. But that is a change that has happened, and because it did, it's beginning to shape our nation for a new, unforeseeable future. Will it be exciting? Will it be frightening? The answer to both of those questions is "yes". But who is to differentiate between the feelings of fear and excitement? Are they not one in the same, only given different meanings in regards to the particular situation at hand?

The world is what we make it. Everything on earth is what it is because that is how we perceive it to be. In order to change the world, all one much do is simply change the meaning you give to it. Any problem or hardship can be overcome with a little bit of optimism and creativity. If more people loved each other, this world would be a better place.

What I'm trying to say with all of this is simply this: I don't know how many MattandCory videos are going to be produced, but the future seems pretty bleak. Nowadays, everyone has their own prerogatives and commitments that are more important than spending time making videos. But that's perfectly okay. Everyone has their own lives to live and that is the most important thing.

I know, personally, the mission is to have fun. Especially when it comes to video production. I used to be a real stickler because I took the business very seriously. It was a part of me and could be considered more than a hobby. Hours of time and effort were poured into all of the MattandCory classics as well as many of the videos on TTC. Since then the tides have turned. I, as well as others, simply do not have as much time in their lives to stew over video scripts and crazy editing techniques. We all still have fun, but much of the magic has worn off I think. The important thing to remember though is that we are all moving on to bigger and better things.

The spirit of MattandCory will always lie in the classic catalog of amazing videos (as long as they don't get deleted). We will always remember the number of great fans that we gathered while producing videos and will always be thankful for the great people we met through the net. If it all would just suddenly end right now, I would happy because it was a pretty wicked ride.

I wouldn't consider this "taking a back seat" to the video making biz as much as it is "taking the wheel of all new zords". Thunder zords to be exact. And MattandCory are the red dragon thunderzord because that thing isn't just a dragon, it can transform into a freaking person and pretty much take down monsters all by itself. We're pranksters and jokesters and we can't be topped. We are like the top hat of YouTube, and lying underneath the hat is a really tall something or other. But no one else has one. Just us. We'll still wink at you if we see you on the street, but don't ask for an autograph because we don't carry Sharpies with us. If you bring one, then maybe.

Just to let everyone know, the MattandCory Classics channel is finally complete. I started it back in January but never got around to putting our videos up on it. But the other night I went through the entire Mattadncory catalog and picked the best of the best to throw up on the page. Also, MattandCory is still sitting in a rut right now, but sit tight. We are both currently sitting on 2 different sides of a little battle but we are both on perfectly good terms with each other. It's kind of like when a marriage counselor tells a couple that they should spend some time apart and maybe see other people, not that we are married or are even having a dispute with each other; it's more like we are both rejuvenating ourselves by meeting new people so that we can bring these new experiences to the table and use them to crank out the greatest shit you've ever seen once we fully reunite.

Tim and Eric season 1 was ground breaking. Season 2 set the bar. Season 3 shattered the bar. Season 4 went down hill. Season 5 is still in the dark, but we are all holding our breaths for something amazing. I like to view MattandCory as Tim and Eric. MattandCory started off ok, but then we excelled. As we started making more and more videos, we flew higher than all of our peers. Currently, we haven't been doing that great. Not at all. MattandCory has just finished it's figurative "season 4". We have hit our low. I don't think the fall of our channel has anything to do with it either. I think if we had kept our channel, we would still be in this same situation. It doesn't come as easy to us anymore. We have the ideas, and we usually have the ability, but our motivation is shot.

Cory and I drove around all day this memorial day. We drove around to film, and film we did. How much usable footage did we get out of our 6 plus hour excursion? Nothing. The two of us got up early to go film and returned home with nothing at all to show for it. Am I disappointed? I think we both are and it's heart breaking, but the problem is, we can't just jump into the car and film anymore. MattandCory set a bar. A bar that we can easily surpass, but it takes much more work these days. We have saturated ourselves with things like the latest technology, and the funniest of people, but this just makes it harder because it takes more work and more time to get people together, think up shots, think up lines, edit with the best of effects, etc. Something that we once were able to just go do is now more of a chore.

Back in the day, we could run out back, throw 300 balls on a trampoline and make a music video out of it. Today we need to write scripts, cast actors, and organize our time. It's hard to have fun when you have to put so much work into something. The bright side is, we love to do it. I am addicted to video editing, personally. If you give me a video to edit, I will have it done in a few hours and be waiting for the next one. If i get kicked out of a group of filmmakers, I'll make another group and film more videos because I love to film and edit so much. But the real task comes with getting a good idea and being able to plan it all out to perfection without losing interest in it, and I think "that" is what MattandCory's current problem is.

Cory and I come up with a number of ideas; some are too ambitious and there is no way we can pull them off, but some just take so much planning that we get sick of the idea and just toss it out. Before the fall of the MattandCory channel, we had a list of over 70 ideas that we have been saving up for years. Every once in a while we would pull something off the list and film it, but it soon became too much of a hassle. We kept thinking up new and better ideas, rapid fire style, and we would film those on the spot. We ended up deleting our video list and just threw close to 100 video ideas out the window without looking back. Since then I have started a new list and am currently working on those, but it's starting to turn out the same way.

To make a long story short, MattandCory is a lull. We are floating in limbo while we try to get our shit back together. Our season 4 is over and we can do nothing now but conserve our energy and plan ahead for a fantastic season 5 and hopefully get signed to another season and then another and another.

No matter what anyone says, MattandCory is not dead. It will never die. Our videos have always been about class and our videos have always been higher class than most. Where we stand now, our videos are higher quality than anyone's on the market (at our level). Cory and I make videos that are so far superior to everyone elses it's not even funny, and I think that that is something that's not going to change any time soon.

The standards of our videos are high, and luckily for us, we have stilts...we just have to get on them.

It's been a long time since our last subscribathon but we're finally holding the 3rd ever! After filming 2, we knew if we ever made a 3rd, it would be big; and I'm pretty sure this one should meet the standards because it's not just the MattandCory subscribathon anymore. It's the Triangle Channel Subscribathon. We are starting a new and it should be bigger and better than ever!
Our first subscribathon featured MattandCory and Ricky in the MattandCory basement. The two hosted the show as Ricky pretended to answer phones in the back while watching football and Sponge Bob Square Pants. They somehow managed to get close to half an hour out of it if my memory stands correctly. Subscribathon 2 evolved into a room with almost 10 people AND a green screen! The green screen was never utilized, but it was there. Subscribathon 2 was longer, producing NINE episodes and featuring a live band as well as the inception of the legendary Dance Master.
Subscribathon 3 should be something to look forward to. 3 will definitely show up 2 the way 2 showed up 1, and that alone is saying a lot. We had a lot of our friends and supporters help us out with subscribathon 2, but with the fall of MattandCory, we lost a big chunk of our fans as well. But thetrianglechannel has created a whole NEW fan base of eager youtubers who are ready to make videos and help out at a moments notice!
I don't want to give away too much information because I want the thon to be a surprise, but you can expect a LOT of guests and a LOT of featured youtubers from other channels. You can also expect more effects than any other subscribathon in the past (which really isn't saying a whole lot of anything). Also, a live band is being compiled to play at the event, and even though it will include members of The Nougat Crunch from Subscribathon 2, it will be sure to kick more ass than they did (no offense to The NC. They were good, but I have reason to believe they have gotten a lot better since then).
So, without further-a-do, I present to you the long wait until March 28th when TheTriangleChannel will host its first ever Subscribathon hosted by MattandCory. You can catch it live on blogtv but episodes will be posted throughout the week after its filming. If you would like to make a video and be a part of the thon, just make one (without copywrited music) and send it to us at thetrianglechannel@gmail.com before the 27th. We would be overjoyed to watch and use your video. And Reubnick, I know you're reading this. We are waiting for your video.

Destiny

TheTriangleChannel has flourished since it's creation; far exceeding that of the late, great MattandCory channel in subscribers. TriChan has been able to double, in a few weeks time, the amount of subscribers that MattandCory had accumulated in almost 3 years of their YouTube life. This accomplishment is something to be proud of, but it is also something to think about in a different light. It's bad enough to know that everything you had worked for for the past couple years is completely gone, but when you can surmount what you once had in such a short amount of time, it makes you wonder if you really had something special in the first place. This is however a silly contemplation considering MattandCory had (and still has) a number of big fans, but the thought remains. If spamming random YouTubers for two weeks can get you farther in the YouTube world than just being yourself and banking on the hope that people like your videos, what can be judged as good anymore? How do you judge who is popular and who isn't? How do you know if something you have is truly entertaining or if the majority of people just subscribe because you ask them to?

Nonetheless, TheTriangleChannel is an amazing channel, and I am overjoyed to be a part of it. TheSethShow is striving with devotion. Some of the work they have come up with in recent weeks has shown that they aren't stopping in their attempts to make it big and their video skits and bits are as funny as ever. Another of their powers is their ability to crank out new material at a moments notice. This gives them a strong upper hand as the leading force of TheTriangleChannel and I think they are doing a sensational job as they pave the way for all of our futures.

MattandCory, on the other hand, is a different story. Even though TheTriangleChannel is an cumulative network of TheSethShow, BDM, and MattandCory, I don't necessarily see it as being the true home of MattandCory at this current point in time. This is mostly due to the lack of new MattandCory material which is a result of my not being able to return home very often, which would give us the opportunity to film new videos. But until MattandCory can pick themselves up off the dirt, rediscover their roots, and make a new name for themselves at the summit of this virgin plateau, I will continue to believe that MattandCory are officially dead.

Awesome Tour 09

We went to Tim and Eric Awesome Tour 09 in Chicago last night. The show was absolutely amazing. Not only did we get to meet and have our pictures with David Liebe Hart, but we also got to see John C. Reilly portray Dr. Steve Brule live on stage. It was definitely a treat. I had a blast.

Also, it has been decided that MattandCory is officially over. We are joining forces with thesethshow and couchpotatotheatre to form theTriangleChannel. If we have any fans who reads this blog, that channel will be where you can find us from now on.

It's been 5 days. The channel is still not back. Hope is slowly dwindling. I thought Nalts letter to the Partners program would do the trick, but they either don't care or Nalts is a huge push over.

Every day I wake up and am forced to log onto matt2cory instead of MattandCory. Do you know how it feels to be confined to the shitty side channel of what was once a phenomenon? MattandCory was the greatest thing that has ever happened to YouTube. We were at the top of the ladder. We were the top of of the food chain! I don't care who had the subscribers or who had the most faggot followers. WE were the best. Hands down. Bar none. MattandCory were the KINGS of YouTube. Fuck everyone else.

Then we were assassinated. The most terrible feeling however, is knowing that our downfall was an inside job. We were slain by our own hands! My(Matt) hands in particular. I'll admit, it was my idea to start the Reubdick channel. I was the only one that was working the Reubdick channel for its entire existence! I'm such a fool.

I know I'm the least liked character of MattandCory, but fucking up everything just seems to put the final nail in my coffin.

But let me tell everyone this: Reubdick may have been MattandCory's downfall. It may have taken everything we have ever worked for and completely destroyed it in every way, shape and form; but there is not a person alive who can tell me that Reubdick was not a great joke. Reubdick was such a perfect joke as a matter of fact, that it HAD the power to single handedly destroy an empire! It had the power to take history and forever change it, even if it was for the worse.

We Blew It

So our channel is gone, dead, suspended whatever you want to call it. It was the victim of youtubes retarded policies. You see we were pulling Reubnick's chain by creating the Reubdick channel and messing around with him, sending him pictures of a guy with his face tattooed on his arm and just creeping the Reub out. So Reubnick reported the channel and got it suspended. By the way youtube has a policy to suspend every account using the same email address too. That means that MattandCory and RickyStewart show were also taken out.

It's a tragity really. We had been on that site since August 4, 2006, thats close to 2 1/2 years. We had over 180 videos (although 150 or so were actually viewable). We had 455 subscribers and over 200 friends. And all of that is gone. Not to mention over 90 subscriptions that we had that there is no way we will beable to remember them all and subscribe to again if we don't get this channel back. Do you remember Ghoulardifest last year? We passed out almost 100 buttons with the MattandCory url on them now that MattandCory is gone those buttons won't help us at all.

I don't think anyone is happy about this, except maybe MattndCorysuck they must be thrilled. I know Reubnick feels bad about the whole deal, Mike is pissed, We are'nt happy it's just a big mess of suck. But atleast people care. Mike made a video and emailed youtube, another Mike from Show X actually called me wondering what the hell was going on, DrKreepy made a video as well as geohetz1. And even people we didn't know before this all happened are trying to help us and we appriciate it all.

Now hopefully we get this channel back, but if we don't we will start up a new channel and I will make it my mission to build it bigger than MattandCory just to stick it to the man. First thing once this channel gets started I will spam untill we get back to 455 subscribers and then keep going. This channel will probably be all fresh stuff, no one likes hard bread they like it warm and soft and thats what we will give you. We may create another account and upload the old stuff from MattandCory if anyone wants us to do that. Oh yeah and we have secured a bunch of channels with the possible name for our new channel so we will have a lot more fake accounts to use to our advantage (subscribing to ourselves, punishing people, creeping people out) plus we used different email addresses for each of these channels, we're playing it safe.

For those of you who followed us you know that we had another subscribathon coming up once we hit 500 subscribers. If we get our channel back we will have 500 subs in days and the subscribathon will go as planned. But if we have to start a new channel that gives us even more reason to do a subscribathon. I know Mike wants to do a big 3 channel crossover with it and I'm game for that. And we got some really cool ideas for this subscribathon so look the fuck out. And it will be in H defintion so that is even better.

Now that all of that is out of the way I want to talk about something that has been on my mind for the last week or so. Dion McGregor. He was a songwriter back in the 60's but no one knows him for his music. They know him from his sleep talking. You see he told the strangest tales in his sleep and his roommate recorded him sleep talking and it is the most amazing shit. They released a couple CD's of it. I was able to download one of them but I can't find anymore. It is some really insteresting stuff and you should check it out.

BDM kind of blew us off today. He probably had a good reason to do so though. It is his birthday soon not to mention he has developed some form of kidney cancer or something. I just hope he gets better soon. Who knows what's going to become of this ghost movie however. Hopefully we actually do it some time and we don't just never do it, because that would suck.

Fat Eddie's Free Fucking Fat Faggot Internet Cafe is really a huge piece of garbage. Never use it if you can avoid it.

MattandCory has officially gone HD, kinda. We are working on some stuff, but nothing really revolutionary. I think something is brewing though. It's like. . . I can feel it. Our last really good video was Front Tail and that was posted months ago; so it's safe to say that we are due for a winner here eventually.

A funny thing happened last night at Walmart. Cory and I were shopping for some fabric (funky frog fabric) when this girl calls over to us "Hey!". Cory turns around and she runs up to him. She says "my number is ***-****. Call me!" and then she ran off smiling. Cory turns to me and we both just look at each other. It was highly unexpected. Sadly, the girl said the number so fast that we couldn't remember it or we would have called. I also would have probably posted it in this blog entry instead of typing a bunch of *s.

Later that night we were checking out at Walmart when some kid got on the PA system and called all employees back to "the receiving section". I loled and so did the lady behind the counter. She looked at us and said "He must think he's Ghoulardi or something." Cory and I laughed and walked out. We later told BDM this and he said "See! You guys are getting noticed." No, BDM. What she said was in no way a reference to us.

As for Ricky Stewart, I don't know what happened to him. I mean, I call him to come hang out and he just laughs and says he would rather take a nap. And then, when he finally does say he wants to come over, his car pulls up and a huge piece of shit steps out of it. I'm like, "Where's Ricky?" and the giant piece of shit responds, "I am Ricky." So then I spend nights hanging out with this huge, smelly, shit looking, egocentric, asshole who thinks he is Ricky Stewart.

But in all seriousness, someone needs to beat the shit out of that kid. He's really pissing me off.

But, man. I'm done. Seriously. YouTube has killed me internally. I honestly don't have any will to go on. That whole goth thing was a bunch of bullshit leading up to a "big awesome surprise thing" that's all just deflated because of a certain fucking member of the Stewart family.

Cory is trying to keep optimistic, but I already know that everything is done with. All plans are ruined and all awesomeness has called off. That is that. Time to move on to smaller and shittier things.

We are going to be helping BDM make a ghost movie. This will be the highlight of my break. I just hope Mr. Stewart doesn't show his face or I might have to "beat him into punch"

Jazzy Lemmon. It has been well known for a while now, that Jazzy Lemmon is a nigger. Straight up. He's a nigger. But we love him. Even if we don't want to admit it, we all love that fucking nigger. But that's beside the point. The point is, Jazzy and us had a big falling out. Now Jazzy hates us and we have, in turn, formed a hate for him. But this hate is shielding our eyes from what the true problem is. The single reason why our friendship is more or less in the shitty is because of one man and one man only; and that one mother fucking piece of fucking shit bitch is Jeremy.

Now, Jeremy is the designated "leader" of Team FUn; but I use the word "leader" loosely because the guy is practically a large tub of shit that does nothing but piss, moan, and criticize everyone else (this is all based on our little observations of the guy. Our theories of the guy's personality could be totally false). From what we've seen, he is a total douche bag to even his closest friends. The guy doesn't even have a YouTube account for Christ sake. If anyone should be named the leader of Team FUn, it should be the fucking nigger, Jazzy Lemmon.

A while back, at the infamous Art Syrup, MattandCory along with BradandRicky were verbally attacked by the monstrosity known as King Jeremy the wicked. But I'm not sure if the story was ever fully explained from our point of view, so I will do so now. If you've already heard this story, then skip down to where is says "END" and continue reading from there (if you even give a shit).

Jazzy Lemmon asked us to be part of Team FUn when he was starting production of FroMan, the indi film classic that has been known for it's exceptional suckiness (but that's why we love it). Now, Cory and I would hang out with Jazzy from time to time. The guy is actually one cool nigger. He would invite us into his apartment and we would chill, talk about YouTube, play video games, and all kinds of shit. It was awesome. The guy is one of the first friends we made over YouTube and he truly was that; a friend.

After the whole FroMan thing went down, we heard that it was going to be viewed by the film's producer. A Mr. Jeremy. Everyone was quite distraught after Jeremy told Jazzy that the film was a piece of trash, and we were pissed at him too. Who the fuck has the right to tell a nigger like Jazzy Lemmon that his movie, that he worked so hard on, is bad? I mean, yeah, it wasn't the greatest film ever, but it was fun and there was a good spirit surrounding it. Everyone had a good time making it, regardless of how it turned out. After Jeremy left his "bad" mark on the project, all of the smiles died. Everyone felt kind of like failures. Jeremy killed all of the fun.

The initial shock eventually faded, and Jazzy called upon MattandCory to help him out at the upcoming Art Syrup. He told us that there was going to be a movie room and we were going to be able to show our vids in front of anyone who came in. Cory and I were totally game for this. We were practically excited. It lifted every one's spirits out of the rut that Jeremy had trampled them all down into. The rut known as "Jeremy's chasm".

Jazzy had mentioned to us that they were going to be advertising for the movie room inside of the Art Syrup so that people would actually show up (for some reason, the movie room at every event is located far, far away from the rest of the festivities. wtf?) Anyway, Jazzy said that they were making posters and fliers to promote the Team FUn films like Suicide, and Road Rage and whatnot. We thought, "hey cool! We can promote our stuff too!" since we were going to have our own block of time devoted to MattandCory videos. We asked Jazzy if we could make fliers as well so we went out and made 5,000,000,000,000 (approximately) copies of our amazing MattandCory fliers. BradandRicky made fliers as well.

We arrived at the Art Syrup and the evening started by Jazzy bitching us out because we didn't wear our bright ass yellow Team FUn shirts. Cory and I had decided to go with the whole "summer camp" theme, so we were decked out with sweat bands, tight t-shirts, and short shorts. The outfits were brilliant! But I will admit, we did promise Jazzy that we would wear the Team FUn shirts. We left them at home purposefully because we didn't want to sensor our summer camp awesomeness.

Jazzy was physically and vocally upset with us. He even told us that he was sickened by the fact we didn't wear the shirts. Feeling completely depressed, ashamed, and beside ourselves, we angrily stormed out of the Art Syrup, drove all the way back to each of our houses to obtain the lemony vagina colored, cloth, torso coverings. We returned in a blaze of yellowy dismay as we stumbled back into the movie room to find Jazzy upset that we drove all the way home to get the shirts. Ricky, who stayed behind, was supplied with a new shirt (It was bright pink, but seriously, if he had a whole table of shirts, why the FUCK would be make such a big deal about us not wearing ours!?). I was a bit pissed, but not too much. I put on my "I'm pissed and nothing you do is every going to relinquish our friendship you nigger, Jazzy Lemmon" face and walked past Jazzy, trying to obtain some sort of sympathy as payment for us driving all the way back home and back. Well, Jazzy bought the look and took it as I was genuinely pissed (which I kind of wanted) but then he took it a bit too far and told Jeremy of the situation.

Cory and I traversed the incredibly cramped conditions of the Syrup and posted a MattandCory flier almost everywhere. We were to be damned if people didn't come to see our shit after all of this, but upon our return to the movie room, we were met with what soon would be the breaking point of the MattandCory/JazzyLemmon alliance.

We approached the closed door of the movie room and knocked before going inside. We were met with the glaring faces of all of Team FUn, (except DareMaster and the 'andons :D). The face that struck us the most was the disgusting, hideously deformed, sleazy, shameless, outrageously loathsome, vulgar mug that was the face of King Jeremy the wicked. As we entered (with caution) they pretended like they were waiting for us before they started their "Team FUn meeting". We took a seat next to the lot and the mud slinging began.

Jeremy blatantly told us that he was pissed that we had fliers. He said we were selfish, self promoting, pieces of garbage (in a matter of speaking) and that we weren't here in the name of the team. Now, ok. We are selfish and we do like to self promote. That's how shit gets done and that's how we make our money. How are you going to get anywhere if you aint be everyday a hustlin'? Jeremy continued to rip on and on about how we were nothing but that cancer that is killing Team FUn and blah blah blah.

I butted in and said that the nigger, Jazzy, told us that we could bring fliers for ourselves. Jazzy admitted that he did agree to that fact. Jeremy then started bitching out EVERYONE! The whole fucking team. He went into the deep, dark history of Team FUn and moved on to their prospects. Jeremy then started making statements to establish his power and make us realize that he didn't need us for anything. What he basically assumed was this: We (MattandCory) were completely dependant on Team FUn to make videos with because making videos was our future career path and without Team FUn, we would be up shit crick. Jeremy threatened us that he would kick us out of the group and that the door was open if we wanted to walk out. He finished by saying he had "a plen'y money" and didn't need us at all. This was the final sword in the dragon's uterus. That was the turning point. Ever since that moment, MattandCory and Team FUn have been at a stand off. After the Art Syrup ended, the communication between the two groups has all but died off. Jazzy no longer talks to us.

The moral of the story is this. Jeremy is the cancer that is killing Team FUn. Obviously Jazzy is still upset about the whole Art Syrup bullshit, even if he doesn't want to admit it. The thing is, we showed up. We did what we were there to do. The T-shirt thing was just a bunch of nigger shit, and you know it, Jazzy. We helped set up the things and put it all away at the end, just like everyone else. We even taped the event like you asked us too, but you never got the footage because you never asked for it. MattandCory felt genuinely hurt that night by that monster you call Jeremy. That's what the problem is. But we aren't going to shed any tears over it. We officially abstain from Team FUn from this point on. Jeremy can go blow himself.

All we want is a little closure, big man. Jazzy, you nigger bastard. Closure, brother. Closure.

And as for BradandRicky, fucking drive-by bitching our houses. WTF was that shit!? Do you have a problem with us now too!? It's like the world is out to get us; but we aint havin' non of dat shit! Understood!?

Black Kids join our ka-tet

I [Matt] came home this weekend for some fun and excitement, but what I got was something much, much more. I partook on a magical journey of fulfillment this weekend that will leave me forever changed.

First off, I came home expecting to film a whole bunch of new videos for MattandCory, but since the weather was so entirely shitty, the will to create totally left both mine and Cory's bodies. We were left as energy-less beings with nothing to do but take in our surroundings and try to learn about the world.

One of our first lessons is that Ricky is very stubborn and hard to please, which we already knew, but it just restated this fact in all of our minds. A summary of what he told us on Saturday night would be: "I don't want to just sit here and watch TV all night. I'm going to go home and watch TV." Now, I love Brad and Ricky dearly, but I feel we are growing apart. I believed that they were going to be filming some stuff this weekend, but the kind of failed to call me at all, which leaves me to believe that they didn't film much of anything, which is alright. Ricky seemed to just want to chill all weekend anyway; play smash bros and whatnot.

Our next lesson is that people are real assholes. Cory and I traveled to Best Buy to get our Rock Band on. Two rather douchey looking guys had beat us to the punch, so we were patiently waiting our turn. The duo played a total of 14,000 songs before their girlfriends convinced them to take pity on us and pass the controllers. They turned to us and said, "You want to play?" We gleefully nodded and took the utensils of rock. After getting all of the characters set up, we entered the song selection screen. We deliberated and landed on Down with the Sickness even though I currently have a strong dislike for Disturbed due to my roommates endless Disturbed track list that plays in the background of my entire life in Pittsburgh. As the song was about to begin, the game and the TV shut off. Cory and I were left in shock as we watched the black screen do absolutely nothing to correct itself. We gently placed the controllers back in a huff and walked off, but as we turned around, the douche duo were making their way back to the consol in an attempt to turn the thing back on. We have reason to believe that the group of adolescent, cunt bags had stumbled across and off switch or plug earlier in the afternoon and pulled the power on us on purpose, only to restart the consol once again after we had left. I am, to this moment, still irate about this.

But none of this matters, because our destiny began to unfold after that moment. While walking out of the store, a sign caught my eye. It was an advertisement for a new, up and coming band entitled "Black Kids". I loled and Cory did as well. We said that we had to Google them later on to find out some more info. We then set sail home.

We found that Walmart had all of their Halloween shit on sale for 75% off. We went wild and bought all kinds of things, including pirate hats that looked as though they replicated the hats worn by our fellow colonial men back in the day. This would also match this weeks episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia which took place along the time of the Liberty Bell.

On Saturday night, we turned on the Logan show for the first time in months to see how disappointed we would be by his horrible performance. We were instead shocked to watch the greatest episode of Logan Show ever filmed. The beginning segment revealed a mustache he had grown which caused us to laugh so hard, we had tears in our eyes.

Later on, in Circle K, we heard a song in which sang "Damn! I wish I was your lover!". The song, we decided, would work perfectly in a video, so we made a mental note to try and track it down later on.

That night, we went to Target to find their Halloween apparel was 90% OFF! We bought and modified some 25 dollar pirate outfits that we bought for about 3 bucks. Them, in combination with our hats, gave us a perfect colonial look.

We then went to the Logan Show web site and screen captured a shot of Logan with his awesome mustache during an interview with the cast of High School Musical. The picture is absolutely priceless and is the current MattandCory background.

The next day, we filmed a video suitable for the "lover" song and went onto the Internet in order to find the song. We ended up finding it, but also a cover of the song by another band. The band who covered the song was none other than BLACK KIDS! Utterly shocked by this turn of coincidental events, we searched for more info on Black Kids. We found some awesome music videos by them (one being currently featured on the the MattandCory page) but one also depicting the members of the band in COLONIAL GARB!

Cory and I have officially taken this as a sign that Black Kids must be considered the greatest band ever formed. We have also decided to give up on any attempt at fame and power and to forever go with the proverbial flow. Life is too short to "try" when all you need to do is "fly". This is why we are catching a ride on some Black Kids and planning to soar to new heights. We can only hope that this path leads us to happiness.

Expect nothing but the greatest MattandCory videos you have ever seen from this point further. We are no longer associated with Team FUn and are now aligned with the path of righteousness and the Unidentified Flying House.

Ghoulardifest was this last weekend and boy was it grand! MattandCory were there in full force, promoting ourselves while also helping out the sledgehammer, Big Dumb Mike! You check out our videos from the fest on our Matt2Cory channel on YouTube.

We met a lot of interesting people and made a lot of friends. Gum Ball the clown did some awesome face painting and we even met a Migician! The two of us also got to meet with the likes of Ghoul Finger and Lil John himself! (even if it was just carrying cake for him) Elvis was even there!! Freakin' Elvis. He gave a thumbs up to Cory TWICE! What a guy.

We also made some new enemies. The bitch at the missing childrens table tried to con us into buying shirts, but that wasn't for us. So we bitch slapped that hoe. Then, this little punk had the nerve to say that our videos were stupid. What a little asshole! Luckily, we didn't see him after that night. He probably killed himself in regret of what he said. It's the only possible scenerio. Another woman came up to us and said we weren't doing a damn thing, which was true; but the NERVE! So we bitched her out and sent her packing.

All in all, we had a spenidid time and even won the skit contest that we entered! I owe it all to TheSethShow for their "crowd reaction". Without it, we would have been up a crick without a paddle. Our appologies to the mothball kid though. I felt bad that he came all that way and didn't win. He had a good vid too. But, if the judges wanted the contest to be judged by judges, they should have judged it and not had it based on crowd reaction. Nonetheless, we are pleased with our 2 hundo!

Again, we can't thank BDM enough. He is the fuckin' man. Especially BDM, super drunk version. No one compares to him. We would also like to thank the mystery horse man in the suit as well as the rest of thesethshow for their weekend of action packed amusment, and especially Max for sticking it all out in the movie room for about 200 hours. You sir, are the biggest dog of them all.

I met a man named Osaka today. I was sent to him because I had a lot of gunk backed up in my ears and I was having trouble hearing. Osaka is the only man in the county with a vacuum so he brought me in and sucked my ears out. And let me tell you, this hurt. He sucked the one ear so much that he was sucking in blood and all kinds of stuff. Imagine taking a thin suction tube and using it to yank out all of your nose hairs at 200 miles per hour and then place that feeling in your ears and add the sound of a massive wind tunnel. It was intense to the say the least.

Now, Mr. Osaka scolded me for keeping my ears in such bad condition, but it was in a loving, grandfatherly way. He gave me a firm slap in the face and then told me all of the medication I would have to take to clear up the ear canals. He said there was this one pill I needed to take for 10 days. He came back in with a bag with 10, 1 pill, free samples and said I should be good. I fucking love Mr. Osaka.

The bad news however is that I have to make a return visit so he can check that the ears are still working. I told him I was going back to Pittsburgh on Sunday. This angered him. The next time I would be home would be Gholardifest weekend! I pleaded and pleaded, but he forced me to make an appointment on the 17th. The first day of Gholardifest!! All I have left is the faith that Mr. Osaka can bust a move on that day so that I can get in and out and up to Cleveland in time for some awesome Big Chuck and Lil John action. SUSPENSE!

Sharp Hair

Today I had an experience that has never happened to me before. First I'll tell you what happened before this incident to make this post that much longer. So I go and get my hair cut (or as Skeeter would say "my ears lowered") at an actual hair cutting establishment instead of the usual span of parking lots and hotels in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. The lady cuts my hair, I pay her and I'm on my way. I get in my car and drive to Borders because I was bored. I go off the the DVD section and I'm looking at some movies when I look down at my shirt and see a bunch of hair on it. I think, "damn I thought I left all of this crap at the barber shop", and I start wiping it all off on the the floor, because everyone know what the floor is. As I'm wiping these magnificent particles of me onto the floor, out of the corner of my eye I see a women walking toward me. And then she says my name. I'm thinking oh crap I am finally getting recognized for my youtube fame. It was not so, the women was one of my professors of whom I have class with later in the day. She's all "Hey" and I'm all "Yo". We talk about class and movies for a couple of minutes and we part ways.

Fast forward to the class with said professor and I feel a pain in my pinkie finger when ever I touch the end of it. I inspect further. Low and behold one of my own severed hairs has impaled itself in my finger. IT BROKE THE SKIN. Now I took a shower after I got home from Borders to wash all of the hair off of me, but this one was so attached to me that it surgically implanted itself in my finger to start a new life. I was awestruck and inspired by its bravery. I pulled it out and I could feel it holding on for dear life, and discarded it on the floor.

Has anyone else been penetrated by their own, dastardly, sharp hair? Or an I alone?

This blog sucks. It's never updated. It only talks about stupid shit. Every post ends up turning into some sort of philosophical view of life or some bitchy sob story or some sort. Well that stuff stinks and I don't want to hear it anymore. From now on, MattandCory news as it is "suppose" to be read.

A 2 week long break is coming up for me soon. This Friday I am leaving for home and now that Cory is living at home again, we will have ample time to film MattandCory awesomeness. We should be able to get a lot of shit done. We also plan on extending the green screen so we can possibly get some full body shots going; maybe buy some green paper and make some disappearing tricks happen; eh? Eh!? Ah. . . you know. lololol

The power around my home neighborhood (and where Cory is) is out. Blackout. They have no electricity or Internet or anything. Cory has been living out of his car in the Grinder's parking lot in order to get Internet. The police have come around multiple times, forcing him to hide under a blanket in the back seat. He has been bathing in spring that is secluded in the woods near by. The one good thing about not having Internet or power is the ability to find yourself and ponder new video ideas or the MattandCory channel, which he has done! We now have plenty of new ideas to play around with.

So yes, look forward to mega cool awesomeness in the future! I am currently still working on the Pokemon battle video and we are planning to do something with the good old MFW channel. It's actually a pretty BIG idea. We are reinventing the entire MFW franchise and making it into something beautiful!

In conclusion, new MattandCory videos are coming soon. They will prove to be the most amazing spectacles of anything ever invented in the history of everness. But also keep your eyes on MFWfederation for a special surprise in the coming months. tee hee

Unhealthy obsession

I would like to apologize to everyone. Lately I have had quite an unhealthy obsession with YouTube's TheSethShow. They have been driving me up the wall for quite some time with their perfection, but it wasn't until my obsession was revealed to me by Cory that I truly grasped what was going on.

I'm not going to make anymore videos about thesethshow. I'm not going to write anymore blogs about them. I'm not going to send them any more messages. I'm done. I will watch their videos when they have a new one, but nothing more. I'm not even going to comment.

TheSethShow did nothing wrong. I just need to cure myself from this illness. I need to focus on myself. The tasks at hand are becoming too great to let it be tarnished with constant thoughts of how thesethshow is outdoing me and MattandCory. MattandCory IS a good channel. We DO have good videos and they are only getting better.

I've said this before, but I just don't think I an grasp it yet. Videos are about good times. You make a video because it is fun and funny. It's something that can be enjoyed by all, but the number one priority is that it entertains the makers. We need to make videos for OURSELVES and just hope that the rest of the world can appreciate them. . . wait. Fuck that. I don't give a fuck if the rest of the world appreciates them. We need to make videos for OURSELVES and fuck the rest!

I recently attended the first annual Mayhem Fest here in Pittsburgh. I watched bands such as Dragon Force, Disturbed, and Slipknot amongst other, smaller, shittier bands preform. But the most amazing thing of all of it was the crowd. I have never been in a crazier crowd environment than at this place. throwing of trash, mosh pits, marijuana, heat stokes, drunks, dumping urine on people; it was fucking craziness. But what I learned from it all is that no one is perfect. In actuality, everyone is fucking bat-shit insane! If you think you are going to try to make something that pleases everyone, you are retarded. You have to just sit back, chill, and fucking enjoy yourself as much as possible.

Don't worry about others. Don't give a fuck. Just do. All you need is love.

WOW! That title is INTENSE!!

How's it going MattandCory blog readers. Oh, i forgot. There are no MattandCory blog readers. HAHAHAHAHA. Silly me. Well, it looks like I will continue to sustain myself with constant ramblings about who knows what.

I am back in Pittsburgh after 4 weeks at home. Cory and I got a green screen while I was home. We went to WalMart and bought all of their brightest green material in order to sew together and the finished product actually turned out pretty nicely. Now we have added a number of super shitty green screen videos to our ever growing list of video ideas. The list now sits at about 37 ideas. Who knows how many, if any of them, will actually get made, or when it will happen.

But upon my return to school, I realized something. No matter how hard I try, and can never make as good friends here in Pitt that I do back home. Hanging out with Cory, Brad, and Ricky at home was the greatest 4 weeks I've had in a while (minus the shit trip to Canada we took). And when I come back to Pittsburgh and tell my "friends" here about my amazing adventures and show them the fruits of Cory and I's videoing labor, I get a bunch of dull expressions and bad criticism. Not only do the people here hate Cory and I's idols Tim and Eric, but they kind of look down on me for liking them.

Now, it's not easy for me to make friends. I often think back as to how the hell I've made the friends that I have, and it's NUTS! I fucking HATED Cory when I first met him. He was a fucking dickface piece of shit who would sit behind me on the bus with this kid named Chris (who surprisingly turned out to be a second cousin of mine). The two of them would spend the entire bus ride from school poking me in the back of the head and yelling at me; essentially being total assholes. They drove me nuts. Luckily for me, the 2 had a falling out and never talk to each other anymore. I actually befriended Chris but he got into drugs and I stopped hanging around with him.
A friend of mine named Stuart came to my house one day with Cory along with him. I was kind of shocked because I never really talked to Cory except yelling at him on the school bus. I guess he lived just down the street from me. I totally forget how Cory and I first started hanging out, but it soon became a daily occurrence and now we have a fucking YouTube channel with over 250 subscribers and over 170 videos! That's not even counting the OTHER channels we have scattered about the web!
Brad and I first met when we were assigned seats next to each other in a 7th grade math class. He shared the same common hatred for the teacher and made fun of her together on a daily basis. We soon became friends and even befriended the teacher as well.
Cory and I decided we needed something on Friday nights since nothing ever happened on those days. We invented Friday Night Shenanigans. I invited Brad over and we hung out. It was sweet. A weekly Friday get together. Eventually Nick was brought in and Gamble and blah blah blah. Gamble dropped out and Nick killed himself. But then there was Ricky Stewart.
Everyone in school knew Ricky Stewart because he is fucking awesome, but I'm pretty sure he never had any "real" friends. Friends in the matter of speaking to which you can call and go to hang out all the time and stuff. Ricky didn't have any to my knowledge at least. So we called him up and Rickman was born! The 4 were locked in as the FNS crew and are still going strong!

Whenever I am home and hanging out with my friends, I can share ideas and common interests and it is great. But I just can't seem to find that same experience anywhere else. It's almost kind of frightening. I often find myself in my room, clinging to MattandCory, FNS, and RSS videos because no one else understands my world.

Wait wait wait. Hold up for a second here. Why the hell am I going into all of this? This is suppose to be about the MEDIA XPLOSION! Right!?

I think MattandCory has started a new era with the Burger Cocks video. Since then, with the exceptions of s few minor hiccups, MattandCory's videos have only been getting better; and we hope this trend continues! The only sad part is that our subscriber count sucks ass. . . still. We have never been one for getting many subs, but we still are baffled by it. Reubnick for Christ sake! He has over 300 already! No offense to Reub, but he's got NOTHING on MattandCory! Seriously! And yet he has such a larger fan base, it's ridiculous.

But we're trying, and that's all that matters.

The last point I'm going to make is TheSethShow. I can't speak on behalf of Cory, but in my personal opinion, TheSethShow is the greatest channel on YouTube. They are fucking AWESOME! I know that they were once skeptical as to whether we really liked their videos or not, as were we of them liking ours, but I can clearly state that TheSethShow videos are the BEST and are only getting better. Couchpotatotheatre's videos have been getting better as well. A LOT better. Not as good as thesethshow, but good enough to make me say, "holy shit, that was actually pretty funny!"

JazzyLemmon, in conjunction with TeamFUn (they put the FU in fun) have created a movie, in which MattandCory have yet to see but have seen most of and thought it was awesomely awesome, called FroMan!! MattandCory, along with BradandRicky, make a special appearance in the movie in what we can only guess is the best part of the entire thing! But that's due to the fact that MattandCory are huge asses and essentially egomaniacs who probably won't pay attention to anything else on screen besides themselves. So we can't actually give a fair interpretation of the short film not only because we are huge asses, but because it's not out yet. But come May 26th, we'll all be able to join in on the masterpiece that is FroMan; exclusively at youtube.com/jazzylemmon. . . I think.

Jazzy FN' Lemmon

JazzyLemmon. He puts the FU in fun, so says he. But what is he really? He isn't a lemon; that's for sure. He's just a normal person like you and me. Most of all, he is in no way "jazzy". He is not active or lively or flashy or fancy, and most certainly isn't suggestive of jazz music in any way. So why does he call himself JazzyLemmon? No one knows. It's one of the biggest mysteries of modern science. A mystery only solvable by God himself. . . Ricky.

Now, recently Matt obtained a 3D modeling program in which we went wild, creating things of sorts and whatnot. As a good gesture toward MattandCory's good friend JazzyLemmon, Matt recreated Jazzy's beloved logo of a deformed Lemon with sunglasses giving head to a saxaphone. You can see the render here.

However, upon seeing the awesomely lit and perfectly symmetrical masterpiece of 3D modern/contemporary art, Jazzy simply poopooed it, stating "It's too wickedly cool and awesome for my dull and lackluster tastes." to which Matt replied, "wtf?"

Now, don't get me wrong, we all love JazzyLemmon. He is a great person and is truly caring. He just hates art as well as nice things in general, that's all. Don't take him the wrong way. He's cool. The only reason I wrote this blog entry is so the fucking lemon could get some airtime since Jazzy will obviously never use it. Thanks Jazzy.

So, we are now aware that all YouTube gifs are rendered inactive once a user updates his or her profile. If you still have a working gif on your profile and do not want it to freeze permanently, don't update your profile. You can still upload videos and all of that jazz however.

I recently watched every episode of Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job Season One on DVD. I listened to the commentary for each one. It was amazing. Truly, it was an inspiration to me. My friends in Pittsburgh hate Tim and Eric. I can never talk about them without being chastised, but it is a peer pressure that will never sway me. I love Tim and Eric. They do a great job and I commend them.

T&EASGJ is a wonderful show. They have quite a large team that works on it, although, it never appears that way. So many minds go into what they do. No one is a genius, and Tim and Eric definitely are not. Writing sessions with others are where their gems of comedy gold stem. I think that MattandCory could use some help. I think we need some more faces to come and delude the waters that are becoming to sickeningly green.

The evil nature of YouTube

You would think, that after being taken captive my God himself (Google) YouTube would begin to shine more than ever before. But this is just not so. Ever since the takeover, YouTube has been taking part in countless maintenance performances and feature changes that only seem to make the whole system slower or more confusing. It is almost like Google is slowly destroying the majestic nature of the blissful en devour that we have come to love in YouTube.

Enter the partner program. I remember the day that they came forth and stated, "YouTubers will soon be paid for their awesomeness!" MattandCory was ecstatic. But alas; the dream was a false reality just as most good things are. Only a select "good" people become partners and then start to rake in a small income with their videos. I am not saddened by this. I could care less really, but when you start to mull it over, you realize that this is just creating another classification system that we see in everyday society. You have the rich, famous people who are popular and everyone loves them, and then you have the other people that suck and aren't important at all. But what the fuck do I know? I'm not going to go any further on that matter.

The matter at hand is that FUCKING YOUTUBE TOOK OUR GOD DAMN .GIF AWAY!!! I am so enraged right now. Our spinning hat gif that we use in the profile of this very same blog that you are reading now "used" to be the profile image on our YouTube channel. YouTube has taken it upon themselves to freeze the mother fucker so that the hats don't spin anymore and it just sucks. That gif alone gave us at least 2 subscribers in the past. It was really the only good thing MattandCory had going for them. Ricky still has his fucking juggling gif that I FUCKING MADE and yet I can't use the MattandCory gif that is saved on my computer in the SAME GOD DAMN FOLDER!! WTF!?

For the love of God, YouTube. Give us our mother fucking gif back...please.

Persistent Decadence

JazzyLemmon is planning to film some scenes for his upcoming, viral masterpiece he calls FroMan. We just got a message from him saying everything is all sat for this Sunday. Apparently Jazzy doesn't know that Sunday is the day that Matt goes back to Pittsburgh and cannot film. If he doesn't know, now he knows, and unless he can change the time for filming to earlier in the weekend, FroMan will not be completed as scheduled. DAMN YOU LEEEEEEMOOOOOOON!!

Anyway, I saw a funny video today. It was Brad's latest and it featured him and Ricky. I'll post it under this block of text. I'm quite fond of Brad and Ricky exclusive vids. The two have a chemistry that cannot be described. I also enjoyed the sounds of the buttons clicking on Ricky's game controller. I wish we would make a video that was just 10 solid minutes of Ricky's hands as he played Tetris with no other sounds or talking. Other sounds have the same affect on me. Keyboard typing sometimes gives me chills. Those good chills that you get when you hear certain stuff. High heel shoes walking down a cement hallway for example. If there was an ambiance CD that had the sound of women passing up and down a hallway wearing real clicky shoes, I would listen to it all the time. The same feeling can be felt now as my roommate sits behind me on his bed, chewing chips and loudly swallowing a can of drink. DAMN YOU SOOOOOOOOOUND!! But yes, Ricky and Brad. Here we go!

April Fools Day

So, I just wanted to document that today (technically yesterday) was April Fools day. God, it's a pain in the ass for a YouTube comedy duo to make good holiday videos when they are in two different states the majority of the time. Don't you think? So, no. We didn't have a April Fools video up, and the only person I apologize to is myself because it was a wasted opportunity. However, even with no video, we featured the famous Rick Roll and even posted an altered background. The famous MattandCory couch pick had been changed so that Cory's face was Seth Green and my (Matt) face was Ashton Kutcher. The differences were so subtle that I don't think anyone really noticed. You couldn't even see mine since all of the shit was in the way. . . so I don't know.

I did April Fools the shit out of JazzyLemmon today though. I sent him a message saying that MattandCory had been contacted to become partners. He bought it and even went as far as to start congratulating us and saying how he was going to call the local newspaper to do another story about us. It didn't take him long after he said that to realize it was a joke though. We got about 4 messages in a row from him. The first two were filled with love and happiness, the second 2 were just him yelling and saying "FUCKERS!" a lot. Sorry Jazzy, but the trick worked like a charm. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA <------maniacal laughter.

I kind of like the new direction of this blog. It's kind of like "the official MattandCory piss and moan, ramble and bitch blog!" <---official title! So on with the bitching!

Reubnick recently shoved the fact that he has 10 more subscribers then us in our face. Reubnick is a cocky little dick butt, but we love him anyway. You wait, Reubnick. We will surpass you one day, and when that day comes, it will be nothing short of glorious. . .

Cory and I recently made a video about a presidential speech. A Mr. Jerry Miltumpete (played by Cory) announced his running in the 2008 presidential election. After a few minutes, the speech ended and he turned to reveal he had pooped himself in his nervousness. The video was Cory's idea, and I have to admit, I didn't really have many hopes for it, but he surprised me with the editing and it actually turned out quite well. It was short, sweet, to the point, and ended with a bang. A find piece of videographical comedy. After I mindlessly slapped it on as a video response to Nalts' latest video, he saw it and actually liked it to. He even featured the fucker on his channel. We got like 5 subs out of it, so we were both very pleased.

Someone recently unsubbed though too, so. . . assholes don't know what they are doing to us. Don't you guys know that every time you unsubscribe, we lock ourselves into our rooms, comb out hair in front of our eyes, and slowly play a sorrow filled tune on our wrist violins? Just. . . don't do it again. Ok!? :D

Anyway, Cory and I have decided that once we hit 700 subs we are going to apply for a YouTube partnership. We don't even care about our excessive illegal music use in our videos. We are just going to put ourselves out there and see what happens. Maybe we'll get denied. Maybe we'll become parters! Maybe they'll delete our channel for using other people's music. Who knows! I don't. But then again, who the fuck cares anyway? Not you people. You don't even care enough to read this blog. For Christ sake. I'm sitting here typing all of this and I will bet that a whopping 100% of you don't even exist. Well fuck.

Well, the Subscribathon 2 is said and done. Part 9 is the amazing Dance Master conclusion and boy is it nothing but fun!!

But in all seriousness, MattandCory is a huge commercial failure. I mean, seriously! No one is even reading this shit! I'm wasting so much time writing these blogs when no one gives a fuck. No one likes MattandCory. MattandCory will never be popular! NEVER! I have come to grips with that. What I don't understand is, WHY!? What the fuck are we doing wrong? I mean, Jesus Christ, people! CGpib have almost 800 subs and they have less than 20 videos. They are (well now) just 1 guy! Reubnick has 14 more subs than us! REUBNICK!!!!! WHAT IN THE FUCK IS GOING ON!?

I have nothing against any of these people. I am fans of all of these people! Seriously. I have no grudge against any of them. It's just a matter of "what the fuck do they have, that I don't?" I would say I am totally jealous. I'm not trying to hide it. But it's bullshit. We have over 150 videos and have been posting on here for a year now. And yes, we have made a ton of friends that stick by us and whatnot, but for the most part, we just fucking suck. It's pathetic. We were even in a god damned Nalts video last year and we got absolutely NOTHING out of it except for the opportunity to hang out with Nalts. And yes, it was awesome. Nonetheless, this is fucking bull.

I am coming home for a week. I'll be home tomorrow and Cory and I are going to film some shit. We've lost all hope in people giving a fuck, so we aren't going to try and please anyone any more.

Subscribathon 2 Parts 5 & 6

How's it going everyone? I really have no idea why I would ask this question considering you can not respond to it. Feel free to answer into your computer monitor if you feel the need. Just make sure no one is around when you do so or they might think you are kinda weird.

So YES! Subscribathon 2 parts 5 and 6 are online! They seem to be getting more and more exciting as the Subscribe2thon carries on. And believe me when I say, there is going to be a spectacular finale episode, so stay tuned for part 9! It will be great!!

So, February 29th was Leap Day. . . HOORAY! We uploaded Subscribathon 2 part 5 on Leap Day but afterwards our Subscribathon fix did not seem fulfilling. After a bit of discussion, we found that it was because part 5 kinda. . . well. . . it sucks. Nothing against Nougat Crunch, but Ricky's interviewing abilities are horrendous. We don't even know how he still has a show! Also, the two of us realized that since Friday was Leap Day, it technically didn't exist, which means that we accidentally released part 5 a day early. Horrified by our mistake, we decided to post part 6 on Saturday which is when part 5 SHOULD HAVE been uploaded. So now MattandCory fans have 2 new parts of the Subscribathon to hold them over until part 7 makes it way around.

Since this blog is kind of the "inside of MattandCory" or the "MattandCory extra" you (the readers) get little tidbits of info about us and behind the scenes looks into what's going on. If you don't know, Cory and Matt are attending two different colleges; but not only are they in different schools, but they are now in different states! Cory is going to school in Kent Ohio and Matt is going to school in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

Due to the two of them (why the hell am I talking in 3rd person?) Due to the fact that both of us are living in different states, we don't have a lot of time to make the amount of videos that we would like to; and for this we appologize. But coming up on the weekend of March 8th, I (Matt) return home for the first time in 4 weeks. This will hopefully give MattandCory an opportunity to create something other than Subscribathon for the channel. Something new and amazing, probably. Good Bad

I said in my last post that I would talk about the "good bad" genre of videos; so here I am! I will say right off the bat that I don't know how well I'm going to be able to explain this because it's rather difficult. Cory might be able to give it a better go, but this is my best shot.

Instead of just explaining a "good bad" video, I think it would be better if you saw an example. As you may know, two of Cory and I's biggest role models are Tim and Eric. They have been inspiring us since we first discovered them a while back. The two of them have a very different kind of comedy that they use and it's a kind of comedy that MattandCory have been trying to harness for a while now. It is not very easy either. You can check out the videos on timanderic.com to see what they are like, or just search YouTube for Tim and Eric (most recently Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job or T&EASGJ as Cory and I refer to it as).

When you think of videos, you think of the people in them. Some people are very comfortable in front of a camera and acting things out and making speeches can come easy to them. Other people however can be pretty nervous when put in front of people or even a camera. Watching people shake and squirm in front of an audience is sometimes embarrassing and hard to watch, especially to the person speaking; but when you really think about it, that nervousness and the actions that those nervous people make in front of others is a form of entertainment in and of itself. A person who is comfortable talking to people may be easier to listen to, but when it comes to comedy, the stammering, red faced people are the most funny to watch.

I know that sounds like a horrible thing. . . and it IS! I HATE talking in front of people and usually try to avoid talking to people in public as much as I can because I am somewhat self conscious and don't like confrontations and such; but it is undeniable that people struggling with that kind of thing are fun to watch.

Now, think about that kind of behavior. Think about how an amateur videoer would act. How someone unprepared for something or just someone who is totally scared to death would take on the making of a video. Think about someone who is trying really hard to make a fantastic vision come true through film but have not the acting ability or funds to properly make props or sets. The videos end up being horrible. There could be nothing worse! But THAT is what a "good bad" video is. If done correctly, a video can be so bad that it actually turns out fantastic!

If you add utter stupidity and randomness into the mix, it only makes things better. Making things not only really corny, but hard to even comprehend can make things really interesting and funny. Some of my favorite movies and video games are the ones that I can get done with and am like, "What the fuck was all of that? What happened?". Shock, drama, bad quality, poor acting, trying to be serious, randomness, and things that are straight up unnecessary. Even bad editing helps to make a bad video worse, but also funny. Cutting clips too long or too short. Too many transitions or overlapping subtitles. All of these qualities go into making a bad video that is actually good.

Now, just because you do all of these things doesn't mean your bad videos will automatically turn into comic gold. You have to make them bad "correctly"; and THAT is the hard part. THAT is also the part that is the hardest to explain. Cory and I have yet to produce a "bad" video that can be considered "good bad". We have come close on multiple occasions, but I don't think it has met up with our intended standards.

A lot of the time, younger kids can pull these things off easier than others. YouTubers like CGpib and MookieMookieFilms have harnessed the "good bad" power almost perfectly, and that is why we like to watch their videos. Whether or not they know they do this is not clear. I'm guessing, at least in Mookie's case, they are trying to make actually "good" videos but they don't turn out well and just end up being "good bad", which is probably for the best anyway. CGpib on the other hand; we think that they are quite aware of what they are doing and purposefully edit badly and do all of the other things that they do. As time goes on though, their videos are becoming more professional with better editing and more serious attempts to create comedy, which could be a bad thing. In my opinion, they are starting to go downhill. They actually removed some of their videos because they though that the videos were the worst ones they had. Little did they know, those were Cory and I's favorites and the one's that incorporated most of the "good bad" characteristics.

I do understand that a lot of people out there HATE Tim and Eric AND all of their shows. But you know what? We HATE those people. "Good bad" videos are a fantastic video genre and visual art form that Cory and I are trying to perfect and we are attempting to perfect it for our own sakes. We love those kinds of videos because WE think they are funny. If people don't like it, then they can watch something else. The art of "good bad" videos is something that we are going to continue to work toward and hopefully, one day, we will succeed; and when that day comes, God help us all. . .

Subscribathon 2 Parts 3 & 4

Hello, loyal MattandCory fans! If you are actually reading this blog, then you are, without a shadow of a doubt, a HUGE fan of us; and for this, we thank you!

Parts 3 and 4 of the MattandCory Subscribathon 2 have now been posted. And here they are!

Part three includes the very catchy number by The Nougat Crunch entitled Nazi Girlfriend and also a phone call from Valerie and Donald Elson. It is quite a fantastic episode (if you can call it an episode) Part 4 includes a clip by friends MookieMookieFilms, who we discovered not too long ago on YouTube and who we instantly fell in love with (not in that way).

There are 9 parts to the MattandCory Subscribathon 2 and we will be releasing each one every other day, or whenever a previous part gains more views then our channel currently has subscribers, if that makes any sense at all; so keep an eye out!

A little while ago, I (Matt) had begun to try and make MattandCory "partner friendly". You can see that the entire Pixie Shit Prophecies series uses all royalty free music by Kevin MacLeod. We tried to stray away from using music and video that we didn't have the rights to in somewhat of an attempt to nudge us toward possible partnership status. However, recently Cory and I have agreed that being a YouTube partner isn't necessarily a goal anymore. I mean, yes, we want subscribers and we would love to have a fan base, but partners don't have the freedom that normal, underground youtubers have. If no one knows you exist, you can do practically ANYTHING in your videos with little risk of getting caught and/or sued. I think the most YouTube would do is delete our account anyway.

But yeah. . . as of NOW, MattandCory are going back to their roots. We have chucked the rules of the internet out the window and are returning to making videos for fun and hoping people will like them for what they are worth. . . although. . . that's kind of what we've been doing this whole time. Nonetheless, music has no limits anymore and hopefully, we will be able to throw sanity completely out the window as well. We (or at least I (Matt)) want to try and make some real avant-guard shit from here on out. Maybe some more artsy fartsy shit too. And definitely more stuff like "Kill That Carrot" because the kids really seem to like that one a lot.

If you haven't guess it by now, a big influence on both Cory and I are Tim and Eric. Little bits of their mannerisms and whatnot can be picked up in what we do (or at least I think so). I'll post a new post about Tim and Eric and the "good bad" video theories next time. Check back later! Holla!

Subscribathon 2 Part 1

Subscribathon 2 is upon us and this one is bigger and better than the last! Not only have we filmed this one infront of a green screen in which we are unable to untilize, but we have also included many YouTube personalities like DameEdithDivine and Reubnick! Subscribathon 2 has MattandCory working hand in hand with Big Dumb Mike, producer of Show 54 on couchpotatotheater.com. The band "The" Nougat Crunch also decided to lend their musical talents to this year's Subscribathon.

Subscribathon 2 Part 1 is the first part in a series of NINE videos that will be released over the next few weeks, exclusivly on YouTube. Subscribathon 1 featured theme music by the Beastie Boys, but this time around, The Flaming Lips lend their musical masterpeice "W.A.N.D." to the mix. Part 1 also includes a live performance of The Nougat Crunch's theme song for MattandCory. Microphone and sound work is credited to Kratosaurion2007 aka our friend Brad, who is an important asset to MattandCory whether he thinks he is or not.
